Brief Introduction

Dupont -Teijin Teonex® PEN films are Polyethylene Naphthalate Films which has balanced properties superior to PET films. It is a new material for many speaker applications, as an upgrade path for Mylar users. Dupont -Teijin Teonex® PEN contains excellent audio properties, including:

Low mass, high modulus (stiffness) for its density.
Freedom from aluminum’s eddy current distortion.
Good heat resistance.
Excellent sound quality (low distortion, no noise)
Better stability of dimension, temperature & humidity.
Be of compatibility with ferrofluid.

Teonex® is the world's first polyethylene-naphthalate (PEN) film developed and commercialized by Teijin.
Teonex® has many superior properties such as strength, heat resistance, anti-hydrolysis, dimensional stability, low oligomer extraction, etc.
Teonex® is used for high density data storage tapes, IC card, FPC, and automotive applications. It is also used in electronic components such as capacitors, electric insulation, battery and for optical purposes.
